Hong Kong is one of the world's six largest exporters of precious jewellery and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair, which has a history of 30 years, is also an internationally renowned jewellery trade event in the industry. Statistics show that in 2013, Hong Kong's precious metals, pearls and gemstone jewellery exports amounted to HK $53 billion, the "30th Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair" held in March attracted 3,341 exhibitors from 49 countries and regions, and a total of 42,000 buyers from 138 countries and regions, the number of exhibitors and buyers have set a new record.
